Dr Mous is Managing Director and Senior Consultant in Nanomedicine and Translational Research at MRM Consulting GmbH and a Translational Research Consultant at Chelonia Applied Science.

He is a biopharmaceutical industry executive who has led several successful biotechnology companies, previously acting as CEO of SialoTec GmbH, an oncology start-up, for a year. Prior to that role, he was CEO of PharMida AG, Basel, a clinical nanomedicine company affiliated with Midatech Ltd., Abingdon, UK for over 6 years. Before that he was President and CEO of IntegraGen SA, a molecular diagnostics company based in Evry, France and CSO of LION bioscience AG, a bio-IT company in Heidelberg, Germany; non-executive director of LION bioscience Inc., Boston, MA. Before that he established his career while at Hoffmann-La Roche’s Pharma division in Basel, Switzerland, where he had a 15-year tenure spanning a number of senior R&D executive manager positions including Head of Molecular Virology, Department Head Molecular Biology, Deputy Head CNS research and most latterly, Senior VP, Global Head Genomics/Proteomics.

Dr Mous carried out his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Molecular Biology II, University of Zürich, Switzerland and at the Rega Institute in Leuven, Belgium.

He was awarded his PhD in biochemistry (summa cum laude) at the University of Leuven, Belgium in 1980 and his venia docendi at the University of Basel, Switzerland in 1993.
